We headed into Vancouver
with grey skies and drizzle. Our primary
site seeing was at Queen Elizabeth Park.
We started with the rose garden, a beautiful garden that was probably at
peak two weeks ago.
Then we were surprised to see lawn bowling. It made us feel like we were in England.
They didn’t seem to mind the rain.
Here is the fountain in front of the indoor garden with
scaffolding above the dome for renovations.
We loved these statues.
Unfortunately the Vancouver
skyline is lost in the fog.
Barbara joined the other tourists.
Our favorite part of the garden was the large and small
quarry gardens – an amazing arrangement of color and shape. Here is the large quarry garden. It stopped raining just enough to enjoy our
lunch in the garden.
We then did a driving tour of Stanley Park
since it was rainy and we were a bit soggy.
It is a huge park on a peninsula
of Vancouver. Here are two statues we shot from the car.
