Washington - Olympic National Park – Mora

We hoped to find a first come–first serve campsite at Mora, a campground in Olympic National Park near the ocean.  Being a Saturday we weren’t sure it was a good plan, but we got there early plus it was rainy, so we even found a long, level, pull-through site (a luxury if you are pulling a trailer)!

The rain didn’t deter us from walking Rialto Beach and enjoying the sight and sound of crashing waves.

We saw seastacks

and tidepool life (sea anemonies and starfish)

and walked the 1.5 miles one-way to the Hole in the Wall.

After the beach walk, we appreciated retreating into our dry trailer and sipping hot chocolate.
