AN INTRODUCTION: This blog chronicles Bill and Barbara's
adventures. Here we are a few months ago
at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina.
OUR STORY: Years ago we owned a Born Free motorhome and traveled the country with our young girls. We loved exploring new places and bringing our home on wheels with us wherever we went. Here's a picture when we first got our motorhome.
We owned it 7-1/2 years, slept in it 243 nights, and traveled 76,046 miles. These are the states and provinces we visited, almost all in the motorhome.
Our
trips were whirlwind adventures squeezed into school and work vacation time,
more a sampling of this beautiful land than a thorough visit. Now with an empty
nest and an early retirement, we hope to explore places at a slower pace.
OUR NEW ADVENTURE: After much research, we ordered a 19' Escape Trailer and purchased a Toyota
4Runner to pull it. This week, in Chilliwack, British Columbia, production began on our trailer. I was going to call these our "ultrasound pictures" of our baby due June 25th, but it is hard to call it that with the workers posing in the picture.
